Tales From the Mist is a compilation of 12 great short stories.  Paranormal fiction by a delicious variety of authors, each with their own distinct style that will send goose bumps right up your spine.  Some tales are a tragedy, with a crushing loss at the end.  Some feature a narrow escape.  Others feature an ending that promises new beginnings, a hint to a happy future.  And there are those where the characters can only be resigned to their eternal fate.

I read one tale per night, savoring each before moving on to the next.  I didn’t matter whether I read them while waiting in the bright sunshine for my son’s school bus, in the morning over a cup of coffee, or alone in a cabin in the woods as the darkness blanketed the world outside the safety of the porch lantern and noises from the trees held all the menace of a glowing-eyed stalker.  Each story was a little gem of its own.  Here were a few of my top picks:
